When is it

Masters Grand Prix is back for a whole day of outdoor track and field action on Sunday 16th July 2023.

This meeting also incorporates the Northern Masters Championships for 2023.

Note: to gain a medal from the championships you need to be a fully paid up member of Northern Masters.

This event will take place at Leigh Sports Village.

Here is a provisional timetable of events.

Races are seeded by PB supplied and will be fastest race to slowest.

  • 11:00 – 3000m
  • 11:40 – Sprint hurdles
  • 12:15 – 300mh/400mh
  • 12:45 – 800m
  • 14:00 – 100m
  • 15:00 – 1500m
  • 15:30 – 200m
  • 16:15 – 400m


  • 10:30 Hammer
  • 11:00 Pole Vault
  • 12:00 High Jump
  • 12:15 Shot Put
  • 13:00 Long Jump
  • 13:30 Discus
  • 14:00 Triple Jump
  • 14:30 Javelin

Who can enter

This event is open to ANYONE 30 years or older regardless of whether they are in a club or not.

Masters Athletics categories start when you are 35 years old, but anyone 30+ can come and get a taste of what Masters athletics is about at this meeting.

We want people to come down and try these events regardless of ability.  Just come and have some fun.

Note: You don’t have to be a member of Northern Masters to take part in any event, but you do have to be a fully paid up member of the club to win a medal.

Entries are now being taken via https://www.race-results.co.uk/results/2023/

£8 for the first event and £4 for additional events.
